Hi! I'm Jean, a lawyer who is here to help with all of your family law, real estate or will needs. I serve the Niagara Region and beyond. either in person or virtually.
Although my experiences are diverse, the consistent theme in all of them is my passion and commitment to helping others. My clients will tell you that I really take the time to understand your goals and work with you to achieve them. I ensure that you fully understand the process and keep you informed every step of the way. I am upfront and honest about the potential outcomes of your matter and the costs involved.
I am trained in Collaborative Law and am a member of Collaborative Practice Niagara.
Collaborative Law is a form of alternative dispute resolution involving professionals trained in negotiating settlements outside of court through a respectful and peaceful approach to separation.
Although I am a firm believer in alternative dispute resolution methods, I understand that these options are not always appropriate or available. If alternative dispute resolution options are not appropriate, rest assured that I am well equipped to move a matter forward with litigation.
I believe that access to justice is important.
Obtaining a lawyer can be costly and challenging due to a variety of factors.
I accept legal aid certificates to ensure that more people have access to the necessary legal processes they require.
I also offer legal services and coaching to self-represented individuals who simply need direction as they proceed on their own.
I tend to gravitate towards roles that allow me to help the more vulnerable members of society.
I am a member of the Office of the Children’s Lawyer – personal rights panel, and I represent children in custody/access and child protection proceedings.
I am also the President of Design for a New Tomorrow,
an agency that works towards eliminating intimate partner abuse through counselling and support.
When I'm not working, you can usually find me outdoors with my husband and two young daughters. I love the outdoors and being there for my girls.
